Having said that, and knowing Mr. Garfield, I am confident that his comments were meant to help and in NO WAY were meant to imply anything about your level of intelligence. He is one of the most knowledgeable members here and has been very helpful with his straightforward answers to hard questions.
Whatever you decide to do, remember always to be very, very careful in your inspection of newly purchased Lugers. My guess is that about 50% of those on the market have been boosted. Shame.
