Started on a 1918 DWM last night, the darn breech block has a big blob of what appears to be some type of soldier on the outside over the firing pin hole. I assume this was to deactivate it. Anybody ever see this before? The more I work on these guns, the crazier things I see. This was the same Luger that was missing the hold open device, the trigger and spring, the take down lever and spring, and the entire side plate assembly. Other than that a totally matching and righteous Luger. "What the hey?"
