Tom, Yes, I think you are probably correct. I would love to see this lanyard in person to try and determine it's authenticity. The metal swivel is in entirely too good a condition to be an original. The leather affixed to it however is very interesting at the point that it attaches to the swivel. About seven years ago I answered an ad for a Portugese lanyard and when it arrived I was astounded by it's tiney flimsy construction, an obvious fake. I cannot remember who I purchased it from.
