The "flaming bomb proof" has been around for a LONG time and there are many collectors that believe it means it must be a test piece, because the flaming bomb looks like a proof that Springfield used. But as said before, this is a misconception and on e-bay words sell. Look how many people call something rare.
I have a rare all Nickled 9mm 4 inch bull barrel, very few made, $3,000! (That would be a good profit huh Tom! [img]biggrin.gif[/img] ). But people are attracted to the word Rare, Unusual, One-of-a-Kind, etc., and people bid higher on it.
