Being in the security end of the computer business, you should know that if Gerard makes it portable, it then becomes fair game for less scrupulous individuals to pirate and distribute, either for sale or for free. Unfortunately, if Gerard wants to protect his investment, individual copies must be locked to a single computer, just like a single user software license. It could be accomplished with codeword access, but that is a lot of overhead which makes it more expensive to distribute and less convenient to use.
