Post Luger Magazine Locating Service...

For those Luger Forum members that may not know, Mr. Don R. Hallock (a Luger Forum member and a NAPCA member) provides a luger magazine "locating" service.

Don can be reached at : drh@oz.net

The intent is to match up "orphaned" magazines and their serial-numbered pistols.

Don maintains a database and accepts your info. about a "spare" luger magazine you might have around that is not matched up to its pistol. Having your magazine listed is free. Periodicially when Don has registered enough luger magazines (with serial number, proofs, condition, etc. and owner info), he puts out a List which can be purchased for $ 12.00 or so.

The list is a way for a "lost" magazine to find an owner in need of the correctly numbered magazine. Sort of like reuniting a child separated from a family long ago...

The intent, as I understand, is that the exchange is not a "money deal" but rather a trade of equal quality magazines between the two owners.

Don's hopes are that owners will find this service much more easy and that it might put out-of-business those craftsmen (i.e. craftspersons...) that might be taking orders for custom numbered magazines.

I have listed the most "minty" Erfurt magazine I have that is just way too nice for my little, doggy Erfurt pistol in hopes that my magazine gets matched with an equally minty pistol one day...

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />
