Hi,

Took a look at the grips on the LP08 and I agree they're definately not KNIL grips. The KNIL grips are coarser than the original grips, but do have the raised checkers, as shown in Dwights picture.

Please note that the Dutch lugers used by the Dutch Navy were P08 pattern guns without grip safety.
