Hi Mauro,

Been there, and bravo - very interesting for any real LP08 fan!
BTW, I have a copy of your book, and as I promised you a few month ago, I started to really 'read' it. First I paged trough looking at the very nice and original photographs - with the English comments underneath. I now arrived at the difficult part of the job.

Left I have the book of Bobba (Swiss Parabellum, Italian and corresponding English on every page), and your book is at right. A notepad and a pencil in the middle. Quite a job, but thanks to my knowledge of French and Spanish I make progress in understanding Italian rather quickly.

I am now at the very informative part, where you explain how the 'Sturmtruppen' were established in 1915, and how the LP08 was distributed to these units, helping them to have long range fire-power when attacking the opposite trenches.
(Page 32-38).

This is for me like enjoying a good wine; little sips, great pleasure, and a whole bottle to finish in front of me.

As soon as I have reached page 111, I will post my final findings here.

Best regards,
