It is unfortuate that Americans can not take advantage of the interesting books being published in Europe. A few years ago, I received a much cherished note from the great John Martz of Lincoln, California regarding a French book published by Mr. Gerald Henrotin's French version of "The Luger Book". Mr. Martz included in his note a photocopy of "Gazette des armes, number 262" that contained an application for the book. But I do not understand French so I did not apply.
I wonder why European publishers do not take advantage of the large American market and publish these books in American English? Americans have many excellent reference books on the Luger pistol but they are slowly becoming obsolete as more information is discovered regarding this weapon. It might also be interesting to see a different perspective and additional information as your post on the Turkish holster demonstates.
