You not only have a 1906, you have a very early 1906. Production of the 1906 started around serial number 25100. It should have the "long" frame, and only the early production pieces were marked GESICHERT. Later the safety position was polished bright. This is a desirable piece and certainly meets the "grandfathering" provision. I hope you can save it.
