Hello Fern,

If you go to our entry site at www.lugerforum.com, you will see a menu selection for "Technical" information, in which there is a decent description to disassemble/re-assemble a luger.

Not sure when you shot those rounds through this pistol that you got in 1989, but a good cleaning after a day at the range is always a good idea.

If you need additional help, you might let us know, generally, where in California you live. We have several Luger Forum memebers that live in CA-state and you might find one person close by to help you in person if you need more help.
