I am guessing, but it sounds like the "ears" you mention are the dished toggle knobs of the 1900 model Luger. The serial number of 19XXX also places your Luger in the later 1900 model production, perhaps around 1904. The barrel markings are those of the importer, an early large sporting goods dealer in Argentina, much like Abercrombie & Fitch or Stoger here in the US.
