Hi to all!
First one went over â?¬ 550 - and add to that 30%. The second one I bought, bid was â?¬ 320, giving a total of â?¬ 415.
The third one went for ~ â?¬ 400 ( bid ), could have bought it, but perhaps it would then gone much higher. I´m not greedy, one Luger a day is enough ;-).
Its a as new Mauser Parabellum, seems hardly fired, in box, two mags, one with wood imitation? bottom, both with Mauser ton on back side.
With dummy rounds, gun functioned fine, feeds, dents dummies, ejects, good trigger. Aside from the frame being somewhat rough, its all blued ( or strawed ), very shiny, hardly any shooting signs. Safety and grip safety went very strong, lubed this, still strong and no marks of engaging/disengaging manipulation scratches.
Bought 200 rds Lapua 124 grs FMJ, VO 320 m/s ( marked so on box ), the "Luger" load. Will shoot it this week, 2 x 8 rds Lapua, 2 x 4 rds S & B 115 grs JSN ( not too hot ), using both mags.
Then I will decide about the front sight - try to "recant", exchange for new sight, higher new sight and flatten it for kinda post front sight? Rear U is very narrrow, don´t want to open this up.
I think this is a shooter, but a fine and durable one, 70´s steel and peacetime manufacture, hardly any rounds through it, no war time abuse.
Or, as one of the last made, and being so new, is there a small collector interest?
There is a second safety lying by - ??? don´t know why, don´t know what to do with it.
Will send pics, if anyone would post pictures. Have not made this in the commercial section, as to correctly end above thread with prices.
Good shooting, Hermann
