Ed, This is a parts gun? 1917 with a S/42 barrel. I would say the correct grips would be the ones that match the most parts, say the 1917 end of it. If all the parts match except the barrel then I would say you have a 1917 DWM that was rebarreled during the Nazi period. Are there matching numbers everywhere but the barrel?
