Once I have it I will shoot it until it breaks and then repair it. What I am interersted in is a few tips how do decide if the condition is good enough to buy and avoid paying far more than the gun is worth.

Gunbroker is an American site, right? That means it is a little difficult to buy there since I live in Sweden. So the easiest way is probably to buy from a local gundealer or at an gun auction. If I buy it at an auction I will not be able to shoot it first and that is the reason for my questions.
