A friend of mine has had one of the Mitchel Arms Lugers for five or six years. In that time he hasn't found a commercial load that would reliably work the action so about a month ago I loaded 10 rounds of 125 grain FMJ and 6.0 grains of Unique. When I talked to him last Sunday, he told me that all ten rounds went through perfectly. Now all he has to do is round up some dies and he'll be in business. I don't know if his Mitchel is typical but it seems that the recoil spring is pretty stiff.
