Here is the best I could do with a quality improvement and enlargement of the photo I downloaded.
I would suggest that the bulk of these pistols would eventually be issued to liberated allies like Norway for use by their un-equipped military and police... until replaced by something more modern years later...
The subsequent sale of these "surplus" pistols are where most all of the imported Lugers came from that were not direct bring-back war souveniers...
