Here is a photo of a better example of the usually crude Bulgarian Luger holsters... you can see the similarity in the design. The closure strap on the canvas holster is in the German style, but the holster design is definitely Bulgarian ...

Not really so difficult a task when you spend your 'idle' time looking at Lugers, holsters and/or photos of them

I have doing that for the last 40 plus years...
