Unfortunately the people who are trying to ban handguns don't see these things as pieces of history, it's just another gun to them. Maybe they're right about that, I don't know. What I do know is that they consider firearm owners to be on about the same level as pedophiles, rapists and murderers and they aren't going to stop until we are all gone. Makes me tired just thinking about it. We don't really have the numbers of gun owners in this country (we have a different firearms ownership history to you guys in the US even though we are from the same backgrounds) to put up a political party, all we can do is direct our votes to the least anti-firearm political parties. We have the left wing Greens, the left wing Democrats, the left wing Labour Party and the centre-left Liberal Party to choose from. Does this clarify our situation?....
That is a very gracious offer of yours John. I'm not sure about the regulations concerning exporting firearms from Oz and importing into the US. I'm sure it would be some kind of a red tape nightmare, however if anybody knows something about it please let everyone know.
I have just got to say, while I'm in typing mode, I have been involved in a number of forums around the net and have found this one to be one of the friendliest and helpful I have found to date, a truly great bunch of guys willing to offer help to just about anyone in a friendly and positive way. Great stuff.
