I finally found a copy of Small Arms Review at the gun show in Mesquite Texas today. There were quite a few copies there. The main Luger in the story is an artillery model, 1915, serial number 6474. He also writes about the Navarro brothers full auto conversion. I was suprised that it fired in full auto, not by pulling the trigger, but by squeezing the grip safety. I'm trying to picture controlling that. He also writes about the full auto Brochardt, as well as two mystery versions of a full auto Luger. Well worth a look if you are interested in full auto Lugers...
