I'm think that you have remembered a very "Gaudy Very expensive Luger", If it is the real thing.
There may be several Phony versions of the weapon supposedly presented to Hermann Goering.
Try searching this forum using the key words "Hermann" "Goering" Iâ??m certain that you will find several comments on that weapon.
