You have a DWM Artillery Luger - LP08 - made during WW1 and issued to the Imperial German military. It was modified after WW1 for export to the US as evidenced by the "GERMANY" stamp, the date having been scrubbed and the modified front sight. The modified front sight may have been done by a previous owner after leaving Germany.

The fully adjustable front and rear sights suggest manufacture between 1914 and early 1917. If there is a suffix letter on the frame after the serial number, it may give a clue as to the year but only if the letter is well into the alphabet.

Your LP08 has little value as a collectable due to the modifications but the Artillery Lugers are superb shooters and generally very accurate.
