This whole restamping/recutting issue has been talked about much and it always opens up the "can of worms" of protecting the innocent vs making the owner happy with his reworked Luger. This little mark was my own solution to this problem, it is sort of my signature to tell people I worked on the gun. I put it on the underside of the stock lug (what do I do if there is no stock Lug?) probably put it on the frame inside the grips somewhere, I know you cannot see it unless you take the grips off.
