(Edit: I had forgotten the minus signs).
It was -5 degrees F when I woke up this morning at 8:30am EST. My phone says it was -7 degrees F just after I went to bed.
BUT...Last Saturday I had 1/2 inch of snow on the ground. Penny loafer weather. When I woke up Sunday morn, I had what the pic below shows...
That's a sno-blower cut to clear my driveway, took an hour to clear it. The yellow pole in the middle is a yardstick and it's showing 16 inches of snow. All fell overnight; thick heavy snow. Plows were out all night dumping salt on the road and then plowing that snow-slush mix into the end of my drive.
Not a blizzard, and since it's a Covid weekend, not even an inconvenience. Just an annoyance. I'm pretty sure ithacaartist had more snow than I did. My weather comes from the West; the bad storms come up from the SouthEast. When that happens, Central NY State gets hit hard.
But I'm willing to bet that this is the worst we'll get here in Wrights Corners.
