Hi Ed,

I appreciate you taking the time to offer such detailed and valuable information. I have to tell you I was aprehensive about posting on this site, but am glad I did so now. I have received nothing but positive and informative information from everyone. As a sideline for John, is it possible that the Ku stands for kitchen untensil? Maybe old utensils were melted down to produce parts for certain Lugers thus bringing forth the Ku stamp.
