Chis,
if you feel the grips are original to the gun and they look good, then I would not bother to have them recheckered. Recheckering would cost about $40-60 depending on who you have do them and not including postage. Then there is the possibility of them being lost in the mail. In my humble opinion, I don't believe that recheckering, in your case, would diminish the value of the gun or even enhance it. Be happy, it sounds like you got a nice Luger. So put the money in the bank for the purchase of your next Luger. Your doing just fine.
