Ah... subterfuge... It's almost like the the intelligence games during a war.

I took the opportunity in June last year to clear out a number of things that I loved "less" in the collection. That included a couple of Lugers that friends very much wanted. I sold things for fair prices, and also acquired a few new utility guns.

The net effect has been fewer firearms in the safes, and some extra money in the pocket. The new firearms were all significant improvements in my accumulation.

One of the best "exchanges" has been the sale of an AK-47 that had accumulated considerable value because of it's collector status, with a new Les Baer M1911a1 - a custom ,45ACP that I never thought I could afford.
