There's another consequence of scams like this. It puts extra work on moderators. The mods now have to check each WTB thread to make sure there's no
"Email this guy - He has what you want!" post...
And there is an inevitable trickle-down effect...The scammers will start posting in everyday threads...
"I wouldn't pay that much for a Luger with an aftermarket barrel"...
"Hey, email prior@gmail.com, they have reasonably priced Lugers"...
