KJ, the "NP" on the barrel is most certainly the British "Nitro Proof" and while I can't make out the other marks they will either be a crown or an arm with a sword depending upon the proof house that did the testing. I can make enough of the "Not English Make" out to be positive about that mark.

Your Luger was brought into England (war trophy?) and submitted for testing to one of the proof houses..... London or Birmingham. It was also done prior to 1955.
