Further investigation has revealed that this pistol was accepted into the new Hungarian military in 1920, so that explains the 2C on the trigger guard web. Appears that the number 0 stamp was broken and the impact didn't close the circle.
The Hungarian military established with the breakup of the Austian/Hungarian Empire didn't use unit marks, so there is still a mystery involving this pistol.
