Thanks for reply and opinions Mr Shaw.
I guess if I had owned my Luger back in the day when in the Uk you could legally have one and go out and shoot it at a range , and then had to hand it in or have it deactivated, I would be really jarred off.
But I bought it deactivated so it is what it is.
