Mauser would write 'Testpistol' as 'Versuchspistole'.

'Prüfung Pistole' is made up German by a non-German speaker.

Even if Prüfung would be the correct term, the phrase would be 'Prüfungspistole'.

I don't think the Mauser engineers were that daft.
