Back in the early 80's, when I had just enlisted in the AFRES, a co-worker of mine (a PO clerk) in my squadron did his Annual Tours at Griffiss AFB in Central New York. He said they had a mobile sorting [truck, bus?] that drove around the base dropping off mail while two clerks inside sorted at regular PO cases. I preferred to take my AT on fly-aways so I never got to see the 'rolling office'.
