I have actually seen many, many photos of all kinds of GI's to include many German soldiers screwing around, aiming guns at each other. Things were different then.
I for one never, heard anything but don't aim at anything you aren't going to shoot to shoot, keep your finger off the trigger till ready to fire, etc. That didn't keep us from having our fingers on the trigger when going into action or hunting.
It is the last 20-25 yrs where that has gone mainstream and every motherless-cur yells, my gawwwd TRIGGER CONTROL on-line. Holy smokes...
