Hi David, the pistol looks nice. Some questions, always some questions. Since it has been cold blued, you would have to remove this cold blue and bring back the original wear pattern for it to be a collectable - tough to do!!!

Next, are all the internal parts marked with the last two digits of the serial number, as well as the external parts you can't see in the photos. Internal parts are trigger, grips (inside), hold open lever, breech block and firing pin. The inside surface of the trigger plate should be stamped with the number "26"

You are correct to question the number on the magazine. It is difficult to tell if it has been restamped. It appears to be okay, but it's worth a closer look.

Finally, is the letter on the frame a "Q" the same as the magazine?

A legit byf 41 or 42 in this condition should bring $1200 to $1300.
