Default Flare Gun Unit Marking
It has been a while since I posted here but figured the collective group can help me identify this unit marking on a police starburst K flare gun I picked up at the recent SOS.

It is marked M.G.D.9

I know it is a machine gun unit but what is the D?

Dusseldorf? or something else?
