The market has saturated with AR-15 parts manufacturers, builders and sellers. Every gunshow I attend for GRNC is always full of AR-15 rifles and components. It really has become "America's Rifle" and has to be the most popular long barrel modern sporting firearm.
I think some collectible firearms have moved slowly up in value over the past decade. The last two years have been more flat.
The higher value collector firearms have seemed more stable, especially at auction. Mid priced collectors up slightly. Perhaps 10% in the past couple of years. The shooter grade Lugers seem to have done better percentage wise. Perhaps it's because there are still reasonably plentiful buyers at that level that don't care so much about finish or matching status. They also don't seem to care about refinish or RC / DDR markings as much.
