That is an interesting and simple test I have not yet tried, will do so immediately. I just returned from the local swap meet and brought home a set of parallels. I have heard of such a machine tool, but have never seen them. I think they will be helpful in disclosing any misalignment in the rails hitherto overlooked. Keep watching for further reports.
