I've had a 10/22 for many years and enjoy shooting it.



The magazine engagement and controls operation of mine took some time to get used to, but they may have updated it.



If you can find one, a bolt action CZ .22 LR rifle is a good alternate choice. They are similar to the .22 trainers issued in Germany and are high precision rifles at a reasonable price.



Something like the CZ 455...
