I use Clenzoil almost exclusivly, but the "Break-Free" was the next best oil which I tested. i also have some of that in my cleaning arsenal too.


I agree that the small toothbrushes are great, but Brownell's sells some small 1/4" dia brushes which I find to be excellent in getting into the small areas. They are a bristle brush that is non-metallic. After each use, I wash them out and they last a long time. For cleaning the knurls and checkering on the Luger, I use the stiffest toothbrush I can buy (usually the real cheap ones from discount stores) and with a little bore cleaner, they get the grime out. I use Hoppes's # 9 as my bore cleaner after firing.
