Can you post a photo of the grips removed and the grips? The metal disk seems to be the least of the mystery...How does the single center screw hold the grips on Ol)
See the image to see what I mean. The reason for opposing grip screws is so the magazine can pass between the grips.
The metal disk may have been for some kind of property mark that never got stamped...
