you are likely correct on the ID, which is why I asked "are you sure".
But unless you have X-ray vision, you cannot be sure that it is not a 1920 commercial luger with a 32 ACP barrel installed, or sleeved! No reason it has to look "different" from the outside. There have been .22lr projects shown that "looked" like a normal luger from the outside(not a conversion kit".
It is not likely, but not impossible. I'm not sure why anyone would do "it", but it would be an interesting rainy day project!
