Hi Mikew, I'm in with Don Voigt in that the finish looks original, as do the grips and magazines, bottom and all... The retaining pin on the Bakelite bottom is a police or commercial type and although correct, uncommon... I'd leave, and love that Luger just as it is... and enjoy it as such!
