You did fine, nice mag. It's not advisable to use it for shooting, but will look great in any Luger.
But you may have a worse problem.
Since the mag goes with another variation to be strictly correct, you may realize that you not only have to keep looking for a military mag, but now you have to buy a post-war Commercial to go with
this mag!
