Default 1916 DWM P.08 Police Conversion with "S.P. P." heel marking

Here's a recent acquisition.

This is a 1916 dated "C/T C/S C/S" accepted P.08 military Luger that was arsenal converted after WW-I for police use, including installation of the sear safety. This pistol is not marked with the "1920" Weimar property marking on the chamber.

The original 1920 Landespolizei "S.L. Pol." marking on the grip strap was struck out in 1922 and re-stamped on the heel with the reorganized Saxon Security Police "S.P. P." marking on the heal, representing the (S.P.) Sächsische Polizei, Saxon Police district of (P.) Plauen.

The Luger also has the number 2 matching police magazine.
