I believe Mauser produced some Lugers with brown plastic grips sourced from the same manufacturer that supplied Krieghoff, I believe in 1941 or thereabouts. I'm too lazy to look it up but if you have "Third Reich Lugers" by Jan C. Still you can look it up for yourself.
