If you are new to reloading, I strongly recommend you find a NRA certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading course. They are taught nationwide. Even experienced reloaders that attend this course learn quite a bit.
The .30 Luger cartridge is not a straight wall cartridge. The case has a shoulder. This is a bit more difficult to size and load for than the straight wall 9mm Luger cartridge.
I've also been told that it can be difficult to find appropriate FMJ bullets of the right weight in this caliber.
