I could only find two pics of the carbine numbers, one appears to be for the push-button attachment, the other the lever-lock. (Oddly, they are consecutive).
But the numbers are on the
bottom of the irons. And left-to-right. The pic that was posted some weeks ago had the numbers top-to-bottom, but I don't recall if it was a carbine or an artillery buttstock...
