It wasn't a registered NFA firearm. It was AR-15 and AK-47 semi-auto firearms fitted with a "bump-fire" device... If you listen to the audio on the cell phone footage made public by the news media, it is very likely that he had very large military capacity magazines as well. The sounds of the shots seem to be a continuous flow of more than 100 rounds.

THANK GOODNESS it wasn't an NFA Class 3 weapon. I wish he had used the first cartridge on himself and prevented this tragic event. PURE EVIL was exactly the correct description of this horrific incident.

As terrible as this event is, it is a perfect example of why additional gun legislation will not prevent any future happenings. This guy was a model citizen. Never in trouble with the law. No history of mental illness. Anything that would have prevented him from acquiring his personal arsenal would prevent any of us from participating in this hobby.

We will be taking the heat for this person's stupidity for decades.

God please comfort all those who were hurt or lost someone in this terrible event.
