I understand exactly what you are saying. David's been a great supplier of ERMA parts for me, but I haven't been able to find an oem loading tool...so I made a cheapie version in about three minutes.
I used an old thick polymer pharmacy bottle and cut it down, serated the thumb/ index finger pinch tab and drilled a hole in it. Voila! Hey, it works for me.
I'll try to post a few pics of this home made gizmo when I get a chance.
